The story goes... Last year we decided to buy a living tree in a pot, bring it in for a few days, and then plant it in the yard. Perfect solution to our ethical dilemma of cutting a tree for a weeks use then tossing it away. We did great in that we bought the tree, a pretty tree too, brought it in for a few days all decorated and pretty, then took it back to the patio to be planted during the right season. Well, we missed that season and come summer it was still sitting on the patio in it's pot so we tossed it up in the upper bed until the next planting season. That season came and went and the poor little tree was still sitting in it's little pot a year later with it's roots grown out the bottom and not in the right spot landscaping-wise and looking a little sad. So come tree time we had a brilliant idea! Since we don't ever have a tree up more than two weeks before Christmas and it was a week before Christmas (yeah, we missed that too) we decided to bring the little tree back in for a Christmas encore. The only difference was this year it had to be cut. At least we got to have a live tree for two years and it was two for the price of one. Or two years for the price of one tree.
Unfortunately we don't have a picture of it from last year but we do have this. A picture of it's pot it's been living in since last Christmas.
Merry Christmas little tree - you have served us well and we will miss you come next year.
